A round house built in 1958 for comedian Jackie Gleason in Peekskill, New York, had a round bed, a round shower room, round rugs, and a curved staircase –
The cantilevered house, which Gleason called “the Studio,” was luxuriously outfitted with Carrara marble terraces, maple cabinets, floors and ceilings, and elaborate electronic equipment. Gleason lived there part-time from 1959 to 1963.
